Service Description
Road Skills Test – Step-by-Step Process Available to students after completing behind-the-wheel instruction ✅ Step 1: Complete Behind-the-Wheel Instruction Students must complete all 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training before becoming eligible for the Road Skills Test. This applies to both Teen and Adult course participants. ✅ Step 2: Must Use Company Car $60 – Use a 504 Driving Academy vehicle (must be scheduled in advance). Pay In Person. Cash or credit card. Processing fee for credit cards. ✅ Step 3: Call to Schedule Your Road Skills Test Once your behind-the-wheel is complete, you may call to schedule your test. Road Skills Tests are by appointment only, based on instructor availability. Call: 504-226-1997 ✅ Step 4: Bring Required Documents on Test Day Please arrive at your test with: TIP card or Learner’s Permit State-issued ID. ✅ Step 5: Take the Road Skills Test The exam will assess: Basic vehicle control Proper lane changes and turns Observing traffic laws and signs Parking and maneuvering You’ll receive feedback after the test. ✅ Step 6: Receive Documentation for the OMV If you pass the Road Skills Test, you'll be provided: A completed Road Skills Test Certificate. 📞 Need to Schedule or Have Questions? Cancellation Policy
CLASS BOOKING POLICY All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable (NO EXCEPTIONS). If a class is missed, you must rebook and register for a future class. The remaining balance is due on the first day of class and may be paid by cash or credit card. A processing fee applies to all card payments. First Day Arrival Time: Adults must arrive 45 minutes early. Teens must arrive 45 minutes early. Students cannot be more than 5 minutes late. Late arrivals may be denied entry and required to reschedule. A Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP Card) is required to complete the course. You may begin class without it, but it must be obtained before course completion. Any missed class days must be made up before completing the program. Adults have 90 days to complete the behind the wheel training once passing the knowledge test. Adults can start driving behind the wheel sessions 6-7 weeks after passing the knowledge test. Teens have 120 days to complete the behind the wheel training once passing the knowledge test. Teens can start driving behind the wheel sessions 8 or more weeks after passing the knowledge test. Teen pick up is only available for: Gretna, Terrytown, Harvey, Marrero, Westwego, and Algiers . $100 Cancellation fee for Missed Behind the Wheel sessions.
