Terms and Conditions

Welcome to 504 Driving Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By enrolling in our courses, using our services, or accessing our website, you (“student” and/or “parent/guardian”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions in compliance with Louisiana Title 55 – Office of Motor Vehicles Driving School Regulations.

1. Eligibility

  • All students must have a valid Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP card) issued by the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) prior to starting class.

  • Teen students (ages 14 years, 9 months – 17 years): Parental/guardian consent is required.

  • Adult students (18 years and older): May register independently.

  • Students with medical conditions or accommodation needs must notify 504 Driving Academy prior to enrollment.

2. Course Requirements

  • Teen 38-Hour Course: 30 hours classroom + 8 hours behind-the-wheel (must be completed within 120 days, per Title 55).

  • Adult 14-Hour Course: 6 hours classroom + 8 hours behind-the-wheel (must be completed within 90 days, per Title 55).

  • Attendance is mandatory. Students arriving late or without their TIP card will not be allowed to participate.

3. Payments & Refunds

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a seat.

  • BALANCE IS DUE on the first day of class unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • No certificate of completion will be issued until the balance is paid in full.

  • Refunds are only granted if 504 Driving Academy cancels a class.

  • Student cancellations, no-shows, or dismissals for misconduct are NOT eligible for refunds.

  • Fees are charge for makeup classes or behind the wheel driving sessions ($75).

4. Scheduling & Completion Deadlines

  • Behind-the-wheel lessons must be scheduled in advance.

  • A $75 fee will be charged for any cancelled behind the wheel sessions. 

  • Lessons must be completed within OMV-required timeframes:

    • Teens: 120 days

    • Adults: 90 days

  • Students who fail to complete on time may be required to re-enroll and pay additional fees.

5. Road Skills Test (If Applicable)

  • Students must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass.

  • Students may retest on a different day if unsuccessful, in accordance with Title 55. Retest fees may apply.

  • Proper identification and a valid TIP card or Learner’s Permit are required for testing.

6. Student Conduct

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior will result in dismissal without refund.

  • Students must follow all Louisiana traffic laws during behind-the-wheel instruction.

  • No cell phones, vaping, or smoking in classrooms or vehicles.

7. Liability

  • 504 Driving Academy is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or property damage occurring outside scheduled instruction.

  • All instructional vehicles are insured as required by Louisiana law during behind-the-wheel training.

8. Certificates of Completion

Certificates are issued only when:

  • Full tuition is paid,

  • All required classroom and driving hours are completed,

  • All required tests are passed.

Certificates are reported to the Louisiana OMV through the K2D system in compliance with Title 55.

9. Privacy Policy

  • Student records are confidential and only shared with the OMV or authorized agencies.

  • 504 Driving Academy does not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes.

10. Agreement

By registering with 504 Driving Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
